Welcome to UnDoubt, a verification service provided by LastingAsset Ltd ("LastingAsset", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the UnDoubt website at undoubt.com (the "Website") and the UnDoubt mobile application (the "App"). The Website and App are collectively referred to as the "Services".

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1.0 About UnDoubt

UnDoubt is a person-first verification service built on secure cryptography. It helps you confirm who you're really communicating with by verifying requests in real time, before risky actions are taken.

2.0 Acceptance of Terms

By using our Services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Services

3.0 Description of Services

3.1 Core Services (Free)

UnDoubt provides the following core services at no cost:

  • Real-time verification of communication requests
  • Identity authentication using secure cryptographic methods
  • Verification request history
  • Privacy-first verification without data harvesting

3.2 Future Premium Features

We may introduce optional premium features in the future. If we do:

  • The core verification experience will always remain free
  • Premium features will be clearly identified and priced
  • You will have the option to upgrade or remain on the free service

4.0 User Registration and Account

4.1 Phone Number Registration

To use the UnDoubt App, you must provide:

  • A valid phone number (required)

Your phone number is used solely to:

  • Identify you within the UnDoubt network
  • Enable verification requests with your trusted contacts
  • Provide the Services to you

4.2 No Traditional Accounts

UnDoubt does not use traditional username/password accounts. Access is managed through your phone number and the verification methods built into the App.

4.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your UnDoubt account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your phone number will be removed from our systems
  • Your verification history will be deleted
  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone

5.0 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for their intended purpose: verifying the identity of people you communicate with to protect against impersonation and fraud.

5.1 You Must Not:

  • Use the Services for any illegal purposes or to facilitate any illegal activities
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Services
  • Use the Services to harass, threaten, impersonate, or defraud others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the App
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access or use the Services
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Collect or harvest information about other users without their consent
  • Use the Services in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
  • Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

5.2 Consequences of Violation

If we determine that you have violated these Terms:

  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately
  • We may delete your account and associated data
  • We reserve the right to take legal action if necessary
  • You will remain liable for any damages resulting from your violation

6.0 Verification Process and Limitations

6.1 Important Limitations

UnDoubt provides verification tools, but you are ultimately responsible for your own decisions:

  • Verification is not a guarantee: While UnDoubt uses secure cryptographic methods, no verification system is 100% foolproof
  • User judgment required: You must exercise your own judgment before taking any action, especially involving money, sensitive information, or account access
  • Not a replacement for caution: UnDoubt is a tool to help you verify identities, but it does not replace the need for general caution and common sense
  • Limited to registered users: We can only verify identities of people who use UnDoubt
  • Technical limitations: Verification depends on functioning technology, internet connectivity, and proper use of the App

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • UnDoubt is a verification tool, not a security guarantee
  • You use the verification results to inform your decisions, but you are responsible for those decisions
  • LastingAsset is not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from your reliance on verification results

7.0 Service Availability

7.1 Geographic Availability

UnDoubt is currently available in:

  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • India
  • Selected European countries

Service availability may change, and we reserve the right to modify geographic availability at any time.

7.2 Service Uptime

We strive to provide reliable, uninterrupted access to the Services, but we cannot guarantee:

  • That the Services will always be available or uninterrupted
  • That the Services will be free from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities
  • That verification requests will always be processed successfully

We may suspend or modify the Services at any time for:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Emergency repairs
  • Security updates
  • Legal or regulatory compliance
  • Business reasons

We will attempt to provide notice of planned maintenance when possible, but we are not obligated to do so.

8.0 Privacy and Data Protection

8.1 Privacy First

UnDoubt is built with privacy as a core principle:

  • We do not track your communications
  • We do not harvest or sell your data
  • We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Verifications happen privately between you and your contacts

8.2 Data We Collect

We collect minimal information:

  • Your phone number (required for the App)
  • Your email address (optional, for feedback only)
  • Verification request metadata (timing, results)
  • Technical data necessary to provide the Services

Note: The phone number is encrypted so it is not stored in a readable way. 

8.3 How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services
  • Improve the Services
  • Respond to your feedback or support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

9.0 Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Rights

All content, features, and functionality of the Services — including but not limited to:

  • Software, code, and algorithms
  • Text, graphics, logos, and images
  • Design, layout, and user interface
  • Trademarks, service marks, and trade names
  • Documentation and help materials

are owned by LastingAsset or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

9.2 Your License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the App on devices you own or control
  • Access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use

This license does NOT permit you to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Services
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices (copyright, trademark, etc.)
  • Use the Services for commercial purposes without our written consent

10.0 Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, websites, or applications. These third-party services are not under our control, and we are not responsible for:

  • The content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services
  • Any damages or losses resulting from your use of third-party services
  • The availability or functionality of third-party services

Your use of any third-party services is at your own risk, and you should review their terms and privacy policies.

11.0 Disclaimers

11.1 "As Is" and "As Available"

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. to the fullest extent permitted by law, lastingasset disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of verification results
  • Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
  • Freedom from viruses or other harmful components
  • Results obtained from using the Services

11.2 Security Disclaimer

While we implement security measures to protect the Services:

  • No system is completely secure
  • We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will not occur
  • You use the Services at your own risk

11.3 Verification Disclaimer

Verification results provided by UnDoubt are informational tools only:

  • They do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice
  • They should not be the sole basis for important decisions
  • LastingAsset does not guarantee the accuracy of any verification result
  • You are responsible for exercising your own judgment

12.0 Limitation of Liability

12.0 Limitation on Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, lastingasset and our directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Business interruption
  • Loss resulting from fraud, impersonation, or scams (even if you used UnDoubt to attempt verification)
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Services
  • Damages arising from any reliance on verification results

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12.1 Maximum Liability

If we are found liable despite the above limitations, our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, OR
  • £100 (one hundred British pounds)

12.3 Exceptions

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law

13.0 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LastingAsset and our directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Any fraudulent or illegal activity committed by you
  • Any content or information you provide through the Services

14.0 Term and Termination

14.1 Term

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services.

14.2 Termination by You

You may stop using the Services at any time by:

  • Deleting the App from your device
  • Deleting your account through the App settings

14.3 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Technical or security reasons
  • Legal or regulatory compliance
  • Discontinuation of the Services

14.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Services immediately ceases
  • Your account and data may be deleted
  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution)

15.0 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland, except where:

  • Mandatory consumer protection rights under your local laws provide otherwise

15.3 Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us at hello@lastingasset.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

16.0 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to:

  • Reflect changes to our Services
  • Comply with legal or regulatory requirements
  • Address new features or functionality
  • Improve clarity or enforceability

When we make changes:

  • We will post the updated Terms on our Website and in the App
  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • We may notify you through the App, by email (if provided), or by other reasonable means
  • Material changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice

Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.

17.0 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, such provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be severed from these Terms.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.0 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of LastingAsset.

19.0 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and LastingAsset regarding your use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

20.0 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights and obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms at any time without restriction.
